Aug 25, 2013 - You can find them on your drivers list under Chipset. Operating System Updates. Drivers that don't apply to your system will fail to install. Mar 16, 2018 - As a side note the Dell Inspiron 6400 is also known as the Dell Inspiron E1505. Pocket excel download windows ce 50. Summary After installing XP on a Dell Inspiron 6400 I noticed.
I just upgraded to Windows 7 on my Dell E1505 and I seem to have everything working except a couple base system device's showing up bad in the device manager and i read about using the driver for the 370 instead of the 350 which i have in this machine see here here are screen shots of my device manager problems, and the bluetooth issue,it seems to be there now but not functioning and has a red X there. It says not connected and i can't figure out how to connect it,maybe i just dont know how to set it up(apparently) Any help would be great! Thanks in advance. All the Vista 32 bit drivers will work for your system except for Bluetooth.
Do not use the Vista 32 bit driver for the Bluetooth. Use the Bluetooth 370 driver R226750, I have an Inspiron 6400 and the Vista driver would crash Windows Explorer R226750 works perfectly. Once the driver is installed reboot and press Fn and F2 (wifi/bluetooth switched off) wait 10 seconds and press Fn and F2 again (wifi/bluetooth switched on).
Full install instructions for this system are available. Note this system has Media Direct.
I have 4 new Dell Inspiron 6400's here at my work, we ordered 4 brand new ones, 2gb of memory and they all had Vista on them, so we have to wipe them and put WindowsXP Pro on them so they have domain support for our company. They are sweet laptops, but the only problem im having is with them now that i have Windows XP installed and all the drivers i found on Dell's site. I have 3 unknown devices that show up in the Device Manager under 'Other devices' They all say Base System Device and i cant figure out what they are and why they have a conflict. The device status says that the device drivers are not installed. Click to reinstall, but i have installed everything i thought Everything else runs fine on them. Any idea what this 'Base System Device' may be?
